Flooring and Interior Design
Once your layout drawings are complete you'll need to make color, pattern, and textural decisions.
Designers often refer to the floor as the "fifth wall" because it plays a major role in the overall look of a room. A dark color floor, for example, can anchor a large room and make it feel smaller and cozier. A light floor, on the other hand, reflects more light to make a small room feel more spacious. Because of this the choice of floor color is an important design decision. You can always paint the walls a different color, but you'll likely live with your flooring choice for years to come.
